- Students will be able to analyze real (global) conflicts with regard to their emergence, escalation and respectively de-escalation and termination by taking into account complex social-science theories.
- Critical analysis of social-science conflict theories from the areas of international relations, sociology and social psychology
- Ability to comprehend (global) conflicts by taking acquired theories into account
- Ability to distinguish between different forms of conflict
- Comprehend complex conflict connections and their interrelation with violence reduction and respectively escalation

:
This module approaches social-science conflict theories with recourse to different sub-disciplines. The complex relation between conflict and violence is analyzed.
