competencies/skills:

Students deepen their reading and language skills on the basis of exact and critical reading and discussing German literary texts.
Thereby, they acquire basic skill of literary analysis as well as knowledge about German literary history.

course content/topics:

The excerpts of an author’s work or a literary question form the seminar’s content. The reading selection focusses on more recent German literature of the 20th century.

- Seminar (2 contact hours per week)
- Individual reading of primary texts during semester
