Problem-oriented knowledge of the constitutional foundations, the political structures and processes of the political system of the Federal Republic of Germany. To promote the ability to make judgments about political processes and to recognize conflicting goals in the context of sustainable development.
Ability to present orally and in writing, to analyze and to critically assess the political system. Reflection on various aspects of the political system of the Federal Republic of Germany within the framework of a group work. Promote sustained systemic thinking and multi-perspective discussion skills.

course content/topics:

Institutional and political-cultural foundations of the political system of the Federal Republic of Germany including the party and association system and the functional logic of political processes.
Analysis of domestic policy fields.
Methods, questions and theories of political systems theory as well as theoretical foundations of sustainable development that are closely related to political structures and processes.
